I’m Akshat Banga, a student of MSc International Management at the University of Southampton, Delhi campus, and I’m delighted to share that I have secured a Technology Transformation internship linked placement opportunity with Deloitte South Asia. I will be joining Deloitte on 19 June 2026, and this milestone marks a defining moment in my professional journey.
Coming from a strong technical background in artificial intelligence, DevOps, automation tools and cloud technologies, my previous role at Jio Platforms played a key role in shaping who I am today. That experience gave me clarity on how AI technologies can be used effectively and how they are transforming the future of work and business. It helped me develop a clear perspective on where I want to grow and how I want to contribute in the evolving world of technology and innovation.
Stepping into this role at Deloitte feels like a natural and exciting progression. I believe this opportunity will not only strengthen my technical and strategic capabilities but also boost my confidence and provide greater clarity as I move forward in my career.
I am incredibly grateful to the University of Southampton, particularly the placement team, for their constant support throughout this journey. A special thank you goes to Monisha ma’am, whose guidance and encouragement helped me secure this opportunity and supported my overall personal and professional development. Her mentorship has played an important role in shaping me into a more confident individual with a clearer sense of direction.
I strongly believe that learning under Euclid Programme offers an excellent learning platform for students who aspire to become future leaders. The programme is highly research driven, practical and closely aligned with real industry needs, which makes the learning experience both relevant and impactful.
One module that stands out to me in particular is economics. It is an incredibly versatile subject with applications across government, corporate and non corporate organisations, the private sector and even the development sector. For anyone considering entrepreneurship, economics provides foundational knowledge that can be applied across all aspects of life and business.
As I prepare to begin this next chapter with Deloitte, I’m thankful for the education, exposure and support that have brought me here. This journey has reinforced my belief in continuous learning, adaptability and the power of combining technical skills with strong business understanding.
