Postgraduate Delhi Presidential Scholarship

About the scholarship

To recognise and encourage academic excellence at University of Southampton Delhi we will offer a Delhi Presidential Scholarship to 1 postgraduate student from August 2026.

This scholarship will fully fund the tuition fees for the 1 year duration of a University of Southampton Delhi postgraduate programme. Our Scholarship Committee will make their award decision based on an exceptional scholarship application, past academic performance and outstanding potential as a student and a graduate of University of Southampton Delhi. We will announce the recipient of the Postgraduate Delhi Presidential Scholarship in June 2026.

What we will offer

A 100% waiver of the tuition fees due to University of Southampton Delhi in academic year 26/27 to one domestic postgraduate student.

How we make scholarship decisions

We aim to manage our scholarships and bursaries fairly, providing support for academically outstanding students, and supporting those who aspire to study to an international level.

We consider a range of criteria, including the academic achievements shown on an application to study in addition to individual scholarship and bursary applications. This information helps us to produce a shortlist of candidates for a scholarship. We will invite those on the shortlist to meet with us to discuss their application.

A scholarships panel will make a final decision on scholarship and bursary applications.

Making an application for this scholarship

We welcome applications for this competitive scholarship from any domestic postgraduate student aiming to study at the University of Southampton Delhi in the August 2026 intake.

To be considered for this competitive scholarship, you will need to make a scholarship application, providing the reference number of your application to study. We will then automatically consider you for all competitive scholarships from that single application.

Students who wish to be considered must complete a specific scholarship application demonstrating their appetite for the values, academic aspirations and community spirit of University of Southampton Delhi.

If you are awarded a full scholarship - which waives 100% of Tuition Fees - we will refund the value of any Deposit that you may have already paid.

We would encourage - and expect - that the recipient of a scholarship, award or bursary will act as a Student Ambassador to promote University of Southampton Delhi while they study with us.

There is no cash alternative to the waiver of Tuition Fees made under a scholarship, award or bursary. We will reduce the amount of Tuition Fees that you will pay by the value of the scholarship, award or bursary.

We welcome applications for a scholarship, award or bursary from any self-funding student who will be paying domestic Tuition Fees. Additional criteria, such as programme eligibility, are shown clearly on individual award pages. You must first make an application to study a specific programme before you make an application for a scholarship, award or bursary.
