Dr. Srishti joins University of Southampton Delhi in July 2026 as Assistant Professor of Computer Science. She possesses over 12 years of experience in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence across teaching, research, and academic leadership roles. She completed M.Tech in Information Systems from Delhi Technological University and Ph.D. from University of Delhi in the domain of Natural Language Processing. Previously, she served as Associate Professor and AIML Lead at The NorthCap University, where her multifaceted contributions were recognized with several institutional awards including the Best Teacher Award (2022), Academic Research Scholarship Award (2024), and Star Performer Award (2025).

Dr Mohammed Anam Akhtar, currently working as Head of Business Education at University of Southampton Delhi, brings over a decade of distinguished academic, leadership, and industry experience to the role. He has previously served as Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance and BBA program chair at IMT Dubai, contributed to ACCA program accreditation, and held teaching and consultancy positions at Curtin University (Dubai). Dr Akhtar holds a PhD in Management from NIT India, is a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE, UK), and is UGC-NET qualified. His wide-ranging expertise ensures academic rigour and innovation in business programs at the University, enriching the student experience with world-class learning and strong industry engagement.

Dr Shumank Deep, PhD
Dr Shumank Deep will be joining us July 2026 as Assistant Professor in Operations Management at University of Southampton Delhi. He brings eight years of teaching experience across MBA, PGDM, undergraduate, and interdisciplinary business programmes. His academic work connects operations management, project management, supply chain systems, business analytics, infrastructure, and construction management. He holds a PhD in Construction Management from the University of Newcastle, Australia, where his doctoral research examined power and dependence in contractor relationships. He has served as an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Delhi and as a visiting researcher at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. His research focuses on procurement governance, buyer–supplier relationships, supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and decision analytics in project-based environments.

Dr Vaibhav Gandhi is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with over two decades of experience spanning higher education, research, and professional service in the UK and India. Currently serving as Head of Computer Science at University of Southampton Delhi, he provides high-level academic leadership in education and research. Previously, as Director of Programmes for Product Design & Engineering at Middlesex University London, he spearheaded programme design, accreditation, curriculum innovation, and student engagement while strengthening industry and professional body collaborations. His research journey includes pioneering work in cognitive robotics, brain-computer interfacing, and intelligent systems, with successful supervision of doctoral and postgraduate students. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and active member of professional bodies, Dr Gandhi has contributed extensively to global academic standards through roles with the QAA, external examinations, and journal/conference reviewing. With a proven record of leadership, innovation in pedagogy, and commitment to advancing engineering and computer science education, he continues to shape academic excellence and impactful research.

Dr Nitish Gupta joined University of Southampton Delhi in August 2025 as Head of Business (Knowledge Exchange & Enterprise) and Associate Professor in Business. Dr. Gupta holds PhD from University of Cambridge, MBA from BITS-Pilani and brings a proven track record in research, teaching, product innovation, and digital transformation to the campus. He has worked in product leadership roles at Buhler Group, IPC systems, London Medical Laboratory, Merck Group, Tata Group in UK, US, Germany, and India. He has also worked as a visiting researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.

Dr Tanu Gupta is Assistant Professor in Economics at University of Southampton Delhi. Previously, she worked as Visiting Assistant Professor at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), New Delhi. Her research focuses on labor, environment, identity and agriculture. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai and was a Visiting PhD Fellow at UNU-WIDER, Helsinki. She completed her master’s in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals of international standing and has received competitive research grants. She is affiliated with the Centre for Research on the Economics of Climate, Food, Energy and Environment (CECFEE) and is a member of Women in Environmental Economics for Development (WinEED).
