Dr. Subhrasil Chingri joins as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Southampton, Delhi. He received his PhD in Economics from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is a macroeconomist whose research lies at the intersection of macroeconomic theory, growth, automation, labour markets, gender inequality, and environmental economics. His research examines how technological change, particularly automation, shapes labour markets, economic growth, inequality, and environmental outcomes.
His work combines theoretical macroeconomic models with empirical evidence to study the broader economic consequences of technological and demographic transformations.
