Dr. Srishti PhD

Dr. Srishti joins University of Southampton Delhi in July 2026 as Assistant Professor of Computer Science. She possesses over 12 years of experience in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence across teaching, research, and academic leadership roles. She completed M.Tech in Information Systems from Delhi Technological University and Ph.D. from University of Delhi in the domain of Natural Language Processing. Previously, she served as Associate Professor and AIML Lead at The NorthCap University, where her multifaceted contributions were recognized with several institutional awards including the Best Teacher Award (2022), Academic Research Scholarship Award (2024), and Star Performer Award (2025).

Academic profile

Her research focuses on developing intelligent and human-centred AI systems with applications in healthcare analytics, multimodal sentiment analysis, fake news detection, social media analytics, explainable AI, and computational linguistics. Dr. Srishti has published extensively in leading international journals and conferences. A strong proponent of translating foundational AI into real-world solutions, her innovation portfolio includes a granted German patent in AI-enabled ADHD diagnostics and a published Indian patent on intelligent systems for perishable commodity storage.

As a Principal Investigator, she has spearheaded an international, multi-institutional sponsored research project titled “Robust and Hybrid Deep Ensemble Framework for Accurate Prediction of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder with Uncertainty Quantification”, involving researchers from Egypt, South Korea, and India. Translating advanced AI research into real-world enterprise solutions, she has successfully completed a consultancy assignment with Volkswagen involving Multimodal AI Chatbot Development using Large Language Models (LLMs). In addition, she holds professional certifications in cloud architecture and generative AI frameworks from Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Pearson.

Dr. Srishti is deeply committed to advancing global academic engagement and leadership. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Springer Nature journal Scientific Reports and as an expert reviewer for several reputed international journals in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, she has held global leadership responsibilities as the Vice-Chairperson (Programs and Initiatives) for IEEE Computer Society’s Students and Young Professionals Committee (2024–2025) and was honored with the prestigious IEEE Computer Society Executive Leadership Award in 2024.
