Student accommodation is more than just a place to stay. It is where you will live, study and become part of the University of Southampton Delhi community.

A comfortable place to live and study

Located in Sector 45, Gurugram, our student accommodation provides a safe, comfortable and supportive environment within easy reach of campus. Designed exclusively for University of Southampton Delhi students, it offers a balance of independence, convenience and pastoral support throughout your studies.

Students are accommodated in twin-sharing rooms on single-gender floors. Sharing accommodation can be a valuable part of the university experience, helping students settle into university life and become part of a wider student community.

Rooms are allocated by the university and are available exclusively to University of Southampton Delhi students.

Fully furnished accommodation

Each room is designed to support both study and everyday living and includes:

  • Two single beds
  • Two study desks and chairs
  • Individual storage space for each student
  • A shared en-suite washroom
  • Air conditioning
  • Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi

Facilities and amenities

The accommodation includes a range of facilities to support students throughout their stay, including:

  • High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building
  • Laundry facilities on site
  • A tuck shop within the accommodation
  • Convenient access to local shops and services
  • Communal spaces for relaxation and social activities

Students also have access to a music room and lounge area located within the accommodation.

Catering

Meals are prepared on site by the hostel catering team.

The accommodation package includes:

  • Breakfast every day
  • Evening meal every day
  • Lunch at weekends

Additional food and refreshments may be available for purchase separately.

Support, wellbeing and security

We recognise that moving away from home can be a significant step for both students and their families. The accommodation is designed to provide a supportive environment where students can live independently while having access to help when needed.

Dedicated male and female wardens provide pastoral support, while security personnel are always present on site.

Additional security measures include:

  • 24-hour security presence
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Controlled access arrangements
  • Visitor registration procedures

Together, these measures help provide a safe and secure living environment for students.

Accommodation Walkthrough

Living in a respectful community

The accommodation is exclusively for University of Southampton Delhi students and is intended to provide a welcoming and respectful living environment.

Students are expected to follow the Student Accommodation Handbook and all associated policies. Family members and relatives may visit students subject to accommodation visitor procedures.

To support student welfare and safety, restricted hours apply between 11:00p.m. and 6:00a.m.

Travel to campus

The accommodation is located approximately 8 to 9km from campus and is served by a dedicated university shuttle service.

University shuttle service

A complimentary shuttle service operates between the accommodation and campus via Sector 55–56 Golf Course Road Metro Station.

Typical weekday departure times are:

Morning services:

  • 7:45a.m.
  • 9:45a.m.

Evening services:

  • 4:15p.m.
  • 6:15p.m.

The shuttle service operates Monday to Friday during teaching periods.

The University of Southampton Delhi shutlebus

Public transport

HUDA City Centre is the nearest Metro station, providing convenient connections across Gurugram and Delhi.

Travel by car

The journey between the accommodation and campus typically takes around 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Fees and contracts

Twin-occupancy accommodation is offered on a 40-week contract (extendable upon request) aligned with the academic year. The accommodation contract will be officially signed by students upon admission.

The accommodation fee is INR 5,25,000 (inclusive of GST). Additionally, there is a refundable deposit of INR 1,00,000 which students are required to pay to book the accommodation.

Payment arrangements

Accommodation fees may be paid in three instalments across the academic year. Students should contact the Finance team for details of payment schedules and deadlines.

Accommodation check-in

The planned accommodation check-in date for the 2026 intake is August 2026.

Vacation periods

Students may remain in accommodation during university vacation periods. Additional catering charges may apply where relevant.

Before arrival

Students will be required to complete an accommodation contract before taking up residence.

Move-in dates

Students will typically move into accommodation shortly before the start of the academic year. For the current intake, the planned move-in date is August 2026.

Holiday periods

Students may remain in accommodation during university vacation periods. Additional lunch charges may apply during these periods in accordance with accommodation arrangements.

Accommodation guidelines

Students staying in university accommodation are required to:

  • Comply with the Student Accommodation Handbook and associated policies
  • Complete the accommodation contract before moving in
  • Follow all safety, welfare and community guidelines designed to support a positive residential experience
