It is easy to make an application for a bachelor's undergraduate programme by following our advice.
At the undergraduate level, we accept results provided through the CBSE, CISCE and various State Boards as well as international boards such as the Cambridge Board and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Board. School leaving examinations including the Cambridge IGCSE, the American High School Diploma, the International Baccalaureate (The Diploma Programme and The Career-related Programme), and the 12-year General Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted in the Gulf countries specified by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) may be submitted.

Entrance tests
We do not conduct a standardised entrance test or require that applicants appear for an entrance test.
Applicants are expected to pay a deposit of 10% of the tuition fee to secure a place. The first of three instalments of tuition fees is payable by September 8, 2025, the start of the academic term. For any amount paid prior to September 8, 2025, the Distance Selling regulations, applicable to UK universities, mandate us to compulsorily refund any amount paid within 14 days of the acceptance of an offer in full, without any deductions or processing fees as laid out in the Refund Policy. We never hold back an amount if the student has received a conditional offer and is not in a position to meet the academic conditions specified.
Our programmes are taught in English, and content is equivalent to that delivered to other University of Southampton students. To match the programme lengths of internationally respected UK awarded degrees, undergraduates study for three years.
Applicants will need to support an application to study with documents to prove who they are and what they have studied before. We suggest that applicants have digital copies of these documents easily available to upload before they start to fill in an application to study.
Proof of identity
An Aadhar Card or passport is a suitable proof of identity for an application to study.
Letter of recommendation
This must be on a letterhead from the applicant's school, signed and stamped.
Class 10 certificate
Or an equivalent to this certificate.
Higher secondary Class 12 certificate
Or an equivalent to this. Predicted Scores or pre-Board results may be submitted pending the announcement of final results.
English Language proficiency results (optional)
Valid proof of IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo results in case we cannot offer an English language waiver.
