The future of global education is evolving rapidly, and today’s students are beginning to see that international learning opportunities are far more accessible than ever before.

I recently had the opportunity to engage with a large and energetic group of Class 11 and 12 students at Neerja Modi School and Modern School Jaipur, and the experience was truly outstanding.
Sessions like these create real impact. Interacting with so many curious and driven young minds in one room is both energising and deeply fulfilling. These conversations play an important role in shaping perspectives, encouraging ambition, and helping students explore new possibilities for their future.
Global education is becoming more accessible
What stayed with me most was not just the scale of the session, but the visible shift in perspective happening across the room.
The focus of the discussion was simple: helping students rethink what international education looks like today. For many students, studying towards an international degree can feel distant or difficult to access. However, the landscape of higher education is changing. Opportunities for global learning, international exposure, and strong career pathways are now becoming available much closer to home.
When students realise that a world class education and international experience can be achieved in India, it changes the way they begin to view their own ambitions and future potential.

The future of global education in India
We are now at a stage where an international degree is no longer defined purely by geography. Students can gain access to global perspectives, internationally recognised education, and future focused career opportunities without necessarily relocating abroad.
Beyond academics, education today is also about personal growth. It is about building confidence, developing adaptability, gaining wider perspectives, and becoming prepared for a constantly evolving global future.
That is the larger vision we are working towards at University of Southampton Delhi: creating meaningful opportunities for students to experience the benefits of global education and become future ready leaders.
Creating future ready students through global learning
I am still reflecting on the energy, curiosity, and openness in the room. Moments like these are a reminder of why these conversations matter so much.
Special thanks to Juanita Wazz and Kavita Bainsla for the opportunity to engage with the students and contribute to these important discussions around the future of education.
