Dr Samridhi Suman works at University of Southampton Delhi as Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. She is passionate about student learning and strives to achieve this through continued mentorship and by delivering complex finance and accounting concepts in a simple yet engaging manner. Her research interests lie at the intersection of corporate governance and corporate finance. She is particularly interested in understanding the financial implications of board structures, board gender diversity, and promoter ownership.

Dr Suman’s research interests lie at the intersection of corporate governance and corporate finance. She is particularly interested in understanding the financial implications of board structures, board gender diversity, and promoter ownership. Her doctoral research too explored the impact of various corporate governance mechanisms on fundamental corporate finance decisions. Studies from her research work have been published in peer-reviewed journals of international repute. She has also presented her work at multiple conferences organized by eminent institutes and associations. One of her research papers received the Best Paper Award at the Academy for Global Business Advancement 16th World Congress. She is also the recipient of the UGC JRF fellowship and IIT Delhi’s Research Scholars Travel Award.
Before joining University of Southampton Delhi, Dr Suman used to work as an Assistant Professor at OP Jindal Global University. She completed her PhD in 2024 from Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD). She also holds an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Commerce from University of Delhi.
