She has earlier worked in Indian universities in roles spanning admissions, recruitment, outreach, scholarships and communication with a sharp focus on customer experience, service management and market leadership. With on-ground experience of India’s higher education and K12 landscape, she carries a deep understanding of the education ecosystem.

Hansa has been associated with human capital for two decades, working in the recruitment consulting and education sectors. She has prior work experience in the media and consulting industries, and as an entrepreneur focussed on hyper-local markets. Her track record at Indian private universities has been marked by revenue growth and a contribution to transformation strategy, underscored by a deep commitment to student well-being and access to powerful, life-changing education.

A graduate with Honours in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, Hansa holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. She is a Doctoral Research Scholar at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram, India in the area of strategic marketing, and has earlier held visiting faculty roles at the post-graduate level.

Hansa has been associated with the University of Southampton campus in the Delhi NCR since October 2024. As University of Southampton brings a global education to India, Hansa sees her role as value co-creation for stakeholders, anchored in deep relationships and an equitable and diverse community. She is passionate about new models of learning and teaching that are relevant to contemporary environments, and holds certification in instructional design and certification in online teaching from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.

Hansa has served variously as a member of governance boards and Management Committees at higher education institutes and in advisory capacity at schools.
