In her role as Academic Provost, Professor Phillips is responsible for academic quality and delivery. She had earlier played an important role in establishing the University of Birmingham’s flagship campus in Dubai. Prior to this, Professor Philips was an Associate Dean at Aston University.
Professor Eloise Phillips serves as Academic Provost and Associate Vice-President (International) at the University of Southampton Delhi, leading the campus, academic strategy, quality assurance, and innovation across programs and initiatives. She brings extensive global experience in higher education leadership, accreditation, and international campus development and transnational education, with a strong record of driving excellence in teaching, learning, research and student outcomes.
Professor Phillips has a distinguished academic career spanning the UK and Middle East, including Associate Dean at Aston University and the University of Birmingham’s flagship Dubai campus, where she played a pivotal role its establishment and growth . Known as a strategic leader who can ‘think outside the box’, she combines many years in industry as a global director and leader in healthcare with project leadership and quality assurance expertise to transform learning environments.

Professor Phillip’s research activity is primarily conducted in the community and Emergency Department settings extending into the acute setting regarding long-term conditions management, non-medical prescribing, advancing practice, end of life care, long term care and educational provision for trainees across all healthcare Health service management, patient safety and clinical governance across research groups are also key areas of expertise.
