Dr Nalini Sharan leads the Student Experience portfolio at University of Southampton Delhi, bringing nearly two decades of leadership in higher education, student affairs, and strategic engagement. She is responsible for shaping a student-first culture that fosters wellbeing, inclusion, global awareness, and a vibrant campus life.

Professional profile

Prior to joining University of Southampton Delhi, Dr Sharan served as Director – Student Experience & Engagement (Pan India) at Pearl Academy, where she spearheaded transformation initiatives across five campuses. Her work focused on holistic student development, co-curricular innovation, mental health, and internationalisation. She has also held senior roles at Global University Systems and has experience leading large-scale operations across India, Canada, and the UAE.

With a PhD in Indian History from Lucknow University, Dr Sharan combines academic depth with operational expertise. She has been instrumental in driving cross-functional strategies that integrate admissions, student support, wellbeing services, and community development.

Dr Sharan said: “My vision is to create a nurturing, inclusive, and globally connected student ecosystem at the Delhi campus — one that equips students with the confidence, resilience, and skills they need to thrive”.
